Cork City sit on the top of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division table with a perfect record of 11 wins from 11 games played. Five of those matches have taken place at Turner’s Cross where the Rebel Army have benefitted from the largest home support in the league.

Second placed Bray Wanderers were the visitors for Gameweek 11 and, in front of a crowd of 5,361, John Caulfield’s men defeated the Seagulls by two goals to one.

The Leesiders have welcomed 23,439 spectators in 2017 with an average gate of 4,688. Their Gameweek 6 match against Dundalk tops the table for the season with 6,746 packing the Cross. On the overall totals for 2017, City occupy the first three spots. Their other two games rank sixth and 14th.

For Gameweek 11, Cork City’s home game makes up 35% of the overall Gameweek attendance total. The total crowd for the ten games this week was 15,469 resulting in an average of 1,547. Dividing this between the two divisions, the total for the Premier Division was 12,974 (average 2,162). The total for the First Division was 2,495 (average 624).

Gameweek 11 attendances ranks as fourth best this season. Swapping Cork’s crowd figure for the best ranking attendance (Dundalk v Bohemians 2,848) in Gameweek 10 and the Gameweek would slip to 8th.

The second best attendance this week was in Tallaght Stadium were 2,570 turned up as Shamrock Rovers drew 1-1 with Limerick. As Derry City don’t give crowd numbers, we’ve estimated them into third for the visit of St. Patrick’s Athletic. Bohemians' 2-0 win over Finn Harps is fourth as 1,423 were present in Dalymount Park for the Gypsies win.

Waterford welcomed UCD to the RSC on Friday night and the First Division side managed a better attendance than two Premier Division sides. 1,386 were present for the Blues 1-1 draw with the Students.
