The Republic of Ireland's U17 team exited the European Championships earlier today after they were beaten 1-0 by England in the Quarter Finals.

The defeat also means that Ireland missed out on the chance to qualify for the U17 World Cup which will be held later this year.

England went in as heavy favourites with the Irish coming into the game on the back of a 7-0 defeat to Germany and speaking after the game to FAITV Ireland Manager Colin O'Brien expressed how proud he was of his team.
