This weekend's Women's National League ties between Cork City and UCD Waves and between Shelbourne and Wexford Youths have been postponed due to international call-ups.

The games were both scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 8th, one day after the Republic of Ireland take on Scotland in a friendly at Stark's Park in Kircaldy on Friday evening.

While the extent of the international call-ups on both games have been known since the squad was announced two weeks ago, confirmation was only received today that the games would be put back to a later date.

Three Shelbourne players – Leeanne Kiernan, Roma McLaughlin and Alex Kavanagh – were called up for the initial squad while Amanda McQuillan was a late replacement for Emma Byrne.

UCD trio Dearbhaile Beirne, Áine O'Gorman and Karen Duggan have also been called up, as has Cork City goalkeeper Amanda Budden.

Details of the rescheduled fixtures will be confirmed in due course.
