A dissapointing second half after what was a cracking first. Neither team really threatened and Derry looked comfortable throughout.

90' + 5'

FULL TIME!

90' + 1'

Four minutes of added time.

88'

Substitution

Eoin Toal replaces Josh Kerr for Derry City.

87'

Walker with a shot from the edge of the box forcing Cherrie to make a good diving save .

Pats fans are making their way out and it looks like it will be a loss for the home side.

85'

It's end to end now as Pats look to salvage anything and Derry look to counter.

80'

Substitution

Jake Walker replaces Darragh Markey for St. Patrick's Athletic.

77'

The game has opened up a bit now and Derry have nearly caught Pats on the counter twice.

75'

The Captain Harkin hits a volley from just outside the box and forces a good save from Clarke.

66'

Substitution

Ciaran Coll replaces Eoghan Stokes for Derry City.

65'

Shaw nearly grabs another one back as his glamncing header goes just wide.

56'

Not as entertaining so far as the first half with Derry happy not to take any risks.

46'

Substitution

Cian Coleman replaces Rhys McCabe for St. Patrick's Athletic.

46'

Second Half

The second half between St. Patrick's Athletic and Derry City has started.

45' + 3'

It was mental at times in that first half and Pats have probably had the better chances since they scored.

You can bet your house that we will see more goals in the second half of this exhilarating game.

45' + 3'

Half Time

It is half-time between St. Patrick's Athletic and Derry City.

45'

Pats with a big appeal for a penalty just before half time after some jersey tugging in the box. It would have been harsh but I've seen them given for less.

37'

Yellow Card

Conor Clifford is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic.

36'

Derry will be kicking themselves.

It looked like a hammering was on the cards but that goal has given Pats a slight glimmer of hope.

32'

GOAL!

Gary Shaw scores for St. Patrick's Athletic.

Just as I'm about to write that Pats will be lucky to keep it under 5-0, they go and score pretty much syraight from kick off.

Shaw rises high to get his head on a Ciaran Kelly cross and gives Peter Cherrie no chance.

31'

GOAL!

Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe scores for Derry City.

It's been continuos pressure from Derry and they get their reward as Junior finishes nicely at the back post after a great cross from Darren Cole.

19'

Red Card

Kevin Toner is sent off for St. Patrick's Athletic.

A crazy few minutes as Pats have imploded. Toner dives into a tackle on Ciaron Harkin hard and late. The ref instantly whips out a red and it looks like curtains after only 20 minutes.

18'

GOAL!

Gerardo Bruna scores for Derry City.

WHAT A STRIKE!!

Free kick for the visitors about 23 yards out. Bruna steps up and curls a beauty up and over the wall. Clarke had no chance as the ball sailed past him into his bottom left hand corner.

2'

GOAL!

Patrick McClean scores for Derry City.

McClean picks the ball up 30 yards from goal and and is given plenty of time to hit what looks like a tame enough shot, at least not hard enough to trouble Brendan Clarke from that distance. The ball dips and bounces in front of the keeper just at the right time and finds its way past Clarke and into the net.

Dream start for Derry, nightmare for Clarke and Pats.

The teams arrive out on the pitch.

It's a chilly night here at Richmond but dry. Good conditions for football.

An intriguing fixture here tonight with both sides desperate to close the gap on run away leaders Rovers. Derry have been in good form but Pats will be hoping that home advantage will play a big part.
